Cooper's hawk in flight

I'm no raptor expert so I'm not sure if I've identified this one correctly, but I think this is a Cooper's hawk. Observed hunting over the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge in Washington state, USA, today.

Yep. How many eagles did you get today? There's that one who hunts up by the interstate in the mornings, and usually a couple more in the cottonwoods....

We saw one eagle. It was doing these big loops between the interstate and the dead trees dotted out on the flood plains. :)
