Greylag goose
The greylag geese have returned to the field over the canal from us. I think they nest there, but I've never seen any goslings.

What a great picture!
We had one of these on our lake for a few years. It hung around with the Canada geese but was otherwise the only one of its kind we've seen in over a dozen years.

Thank you! Yes, I think they were endangered for a while there. The population has been deliberately re-established in the UK.
