Thanks! I think if to wander around the desert long enough, you can shoot a lot of things like that, but few of us had such an opportunity.

That's probably why it's still not eaten by any of the larger predators.

The one in the first photo tried to pretend to be a stick, but I noticed him in time. Those in the second photo were actually quite a lot - they scattered in different directions, but I was able to approach one of them without scaring him off.

To be honest, all my attempts to find out which lizards live in the Kyzylkum desert led me to the formulation: "Asian desert monitor and other lizards". I think these two are just from the "other lizards" category.
