It's definitely difficult with a phone camera, largely because it's hard to get it to focus on what you want. It tends to be good with landscapes, an overall shot. The fourth photo was taken with my phone camera and not only is its zoom weaker but the colors it records are different. The phone camera can be better at representing a variety of colors and it usually makes your image brighter by default. Even so I had to lighten that one a lot to be able to see the contrasts properly, whereas the 2nd shot, taken with our digital camera, was not altered at all, nor was the third photo, which was on high zoom.

Getting close up made it a lot easier to pick up the deep color of the moon that night, but the digital camera also tends to be better at contrast and light and shade, whereas the phone camera photos tend to be flatter and much fuzzier on anything at a distance.
