One of the advantages of giving up on the battle with the dandelions in the lawn is that it means more finches visit the garden, including this handsome bullfinch.

Such a handsome little bird. I wonder if they visit Norwich - it would be a jolly good excuse to minimise the lawn mowing!

I think they will visit most places that have a bit of scrubby vegetation!
