Interesting to hear about the robins. We had 3 different robin's nests on our balcony over several years. Given they were nesting in our plant pots (as were mourning doves, and for a few broods, a duck!) my partner had to go out to the balcony regularly to water and care for the plants, or for us to add food to the hummingbird feeder or get things out of the outdoor closet. We never had any problems with them. They seemed, in fact, to ignore us and would arrive to feed the babies if we were there or not.
