A forest walk

We headed up Lime Kiln Lane and over to New Works then into the forest.
Things are now very green indeed although this is always a green landscape being on the west coast side of things:


The ferns are now swallowing the foxgloves:

Blackberry flowers:

Bulrushes are starting to come:

Big oaks out in the fields:

Into the forest:

The hills from the forest:

Ercall woods (it's pronounced 'arkle')

A wooden path through the marshland:

A view onto the Shropshire Plain. We have forest and hill country on one side of our little town and moorland on the other:

And that was our walk on this glorious day!

Being westerly as well as northerly makes us very green all year round.
