Date: 2012-07-14 10:37 am (UTC)Thank you for the compliment. I think most wildlife photographers have fallen down holes and stepped in substances at some point while stalking their prey. I didn't mind the idea of sliding gently into the edge of a calm River Avon in a dry summer at a place where I had plenty of opportunities to climb back out again but the fast-flowing River Severn in flood is a different kettle of fish and, I confess, the banks were overgrown enough that I didn't realise where the edge was until I was next to it. Crawling slowly ftw!
