I liked the look of this sunset, with the contrail looking like a comet. What follows is an assortment of pics from past months.

The always entertaining duck butt.

When we saw this cloud the on the horizon, my partner said it looked like Thanos was reaching out for us.

Water off a duck's back.

A robin looks curious.

Some more photos of the contrail sunset.

I love that sunset, it's like finger-painting in the sky.

LOL to the entertaining duck butt!

I love the Canada goose butts, too. The geese look very imposing when upright, but that white butt is just hilarious.

I really like your robin photo. That's such a typical pose for them.

Nesting American Robins can be aggressive, too: in one of my previous apartment buildings, a small Japanese honeysuckle tree overhung the rear parking lot, and I used to use it as a laundry rack.

This put me at periodic risk of dive-bombing by the local robins: a good nesting season can yield three broods, and they considered that tree prime real estate. (One possible reason was the fine dining potential: the guy in charge of maintenance preferred a manual push lawnmower—-nice and quiet, and an entourage of birds would trail him to glean the exposed bugs and worms.)

It never fails to make me grin to see the duck butts and the wildly paddling feet.

I appreciate your decision to share the duck’s water-beaded plumage—as if it were a bedewed flower at sunrise.

Such a nice mix of photos! Also interesting to see an American (?) Robin and how they differ from the European one.

Yes, that’s an American Robin; the sexes look a good deal alike except that the males’ color is slightly more intense than that of the females. (The eggs are even more strikingly different, in case you’ve ever been puzzled by the stock color term “robin’s-egg blue”:)

Compare with the Robin Redbreast AKA Cock Robin of a zillion European ballads and folktales:
